Larissa Escamilla-Ocanas
Personal Trainer
Larissa's love for longevity and health began as a kid, spending years in Tae Kwon Do, swimming, ballet, and soccer. She grew up in a Navy family on Whidbey Island, and is familiar with military/ tactical conditioning. Her goal is to educate clients on how to become strong & autonomous. She believes that training healthy movement patterns is the key to strength building & pain management.
Larissa's professional background in medical, psychiatric, and social work, has helped develop her understanding of how one's mental health and demographics can impact their physical health (and vice versa).
While having the privilege of working with a strength coach in her early teens, she began lifting free weights over a decade ago. After placing first in her weight class for her most recent strongman competition, she trains to prioritize strength, mobility, neuro-muscular development, and recompositioning. With a hypermobile diagnosis, she has a deep understanding and specialization in corrective exercises. Larissa would love to work with anyone looking to improve their strength, explosive power, general body building, or anyone that may also be hypermobile! In her free time, she is a gamer, D&D Gremlin, raver, & foodie. If any of this resonates with you, feel free to drop by and say hello to Larissa!
